Special Interest Productions are Damian Bailey and Tom Latham.
Damian has been DJing for over 10 years, originally helping to set up Verbal Soundsystem (Leicester ) and then moving on to a regular (and legendary) partnership with Bov for Babble Soundsytem. Inspired to create his own music he founded Funky Transport with Jim and Ian and they enjoyed successfull releases on labels such as Brique Rouge and 20-20 Vision. On moving to Nottingham he began working with Tom with the sole intention of making "music that we're proud of". He attributes his life long passion for music to his parents who brought himself up on a diet of jazz funk and always encouraged his own creative endeavours.
Likewise, Tom has familly members to thank for tempering his early fascination with punk rock with an appreciation of jazz and soul. On graduating from college he was bitten by the party bug, firstly at DIY parties and club nights and then at Smokescreen free parties, and its Smokescreen who he regularly djs for now. Excursions into the studio with Alex (Souldoubt/Freaked) and Andy (Toka Project/Inland Knights) persuaded him to set up his own studio, which he did in partnership with Steve (Littlemen) and Matt and Rich of Quadrant, and he's now, he's happy to say, living the dream of 'house music alnight (and all day) long'.
Damian and Tom have recently started their own club night Bustin Loose, at Atlantis, Leicester.
